MEETING NOTICE
SNOW HILL PUBLIC BUDGET HEARING The proposed Budget for Fiscal year 2017-2018 for the Town of Snow Hill has been presented to the Board of Commissioners and is available for public inspection in the Town Hall from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday and from 7:30 a.m. until 11.30 a.m. on Friday. There will be a Public Hearing on June 12, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the Snow Hill Town Hall for the purpose of discussing the proposed budget. Citizens are invited to make written or oral comments. BUDGET SUMMARY General Fund $1,064,350 Water/Sewer Fund $1,052,700 Persons with disabilities who require special accommodations or auxiliary aids should contact the Town Clerk at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled hearing to make any special arrangements. GET INVOLVED IN YOUR NATIONAL REGISTER HISTORIC DISTRICT The Snow Hill Historic Preservation Commission invites you to apply for a position on our board. If you have an interest in the progressive growth of your community and expanding pride in our history and heritage, I hope you will consider joining us. Some of our recent projects include expansion of the historic district by 100+ properties, making many Snow Hill residents eligible for fantastic tax credits toward home renovations,installation of new historic district boundary signs, highway markers and location signage for the National Historic Registry listed Snow Hill Colored School, and new walking tour signs. Current projects include revitalization of our historic downtown business district "THE SNOW HILL RENAISSANCE" and a "Blue Que", a Blues and BBQ festival in conjunction with the NC Arts Council and the African American Music Trail. We need your help, please stop by the Town Hall to pick up an application today!
